Successful Issuances of Brunei Darussalam Government Short-Term Sukuk Al-Ijarah Securities 101st & 102nd Series

Bandar Seri Begawan, Brunei Darussalam (March 2014) - The Autoriti Monetari Brunei Darussalam (AMBD), agent to the Government of His Majesty The Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam in managing and administering Sukuk Al-Ijarah issuances, is pleased to announce the successful pricing of its 101st and 102nd  issuance of short-term Sukuk Al-Ijarah securities.

The total of the sukuk issuance was B$200 million with following details:

Series: 101
Issuance Date: 13 February 2014
Maturity Date: 14 August 2014
Tenor: 182 days
Rental Rate: 0.19%

Series: 102
Issuance Date: 6 March 2014
Maturity Date: 5 June 2014
Tenor: 91 days
Rental Rate: 0.15%

With this issuance, the Brunei Government has thus issued over B$7.03 billion worth of short-term Sukuk Al-Ijarah securities since the maiden offering on 6th April 2006 and the total holdings of the Brunei Government Sukuk outstanding until 6th March 2014 stood at BND 700 million.
