Successful Issuance of Brunei Darussalam Government Sukuk Al-Ijarah 227th Series

Bandar Seri Begawan, Brunei Darussalam (January 2024) - Brunei Darussalam Central Bank (BDCB), agent to the Government of His Majesty The Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam in managing and administering Sukuk Al-Ijarah issuances, is pleased to announce the successful pricing of its 227th issuance of Sukuk Al-Ijarah securities.​

The total of the sukuk issuance was BND100 million with the following details:

Sukuk: 227
Issuance Date: 18 January 2024
Maturity Date: 18 April 2024
Tenor: 91 Days
Rental Rate: 3.4375%

With this issuance, the Brunei Government has thus far issued BND16.68 billion worth of Sukuk Al-Ijarah securities since the maiden offering on 6th April 2006, and the total holdings of the Brunei Government Sukuk outstanding as at 18th January 2024 stood at BND355 million.
