Successful Issuances of Brunei Darussalam Government Sukuk Al-Ijarah Securities 206th Series

Bandar Seri Begawan, Brunei Darussalam (May 2022) - The Brunei Darussalam Central Bank (BDCB), agent to the Government of His Majesty The Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam in managing and administering Sukuk Al-Ijarah issuances, is pleased to announce the successful pricing of its 206th issuance of Sukuk Al-Ijarah securities.

The total of the sukuk issuance was BND100 million with the following details:

Series: 206
Issuance Date:12 May 2022
Maturity Date: 11 August 2022
Tenor: 91 Days
Rental Rate: 1.0000%


With this issuance, the Brunei Government has thus far issued over BND15.42 billion worth of Sukuk Al-Ijarah securities since the maiden offering on 6th April 2006, and the total holdings of the Brunei Government Sukuk outstanding as at 12th May 2022 stood at BND280 million.
