TAKAFUL Brunei Keluarga Sdn Bhd (TBK) introduced the TBK Critical Illness Takaful & Aman Takaful Plans at the ‘Up Again After Stroke’, organised by the Pantai Jerudong Specialist Centre.

With critical illnesses being the leading cause of death in Brunei Darussalam, health is the top concern for Bruneians, who also feel that choices are minimal when confronted by a critical illness.

TBK took the opportunity to emphasise the importance of maintaining a healthy and active lifestyle which can assist in significantly decreasing the likelihood of individuals experiencing strokes.

The cost of treatment and rehabilitation for stroke victims can vary and reach expensive amounts as well as affecting the household income.

Hence, the importance of financial planning and protection is paramount to safeguard one’s financial health for the sake of one’s family and loved ones.

The Critical Illness Protection Plan is an affordable protection plan covering up to 31 critical illnesses including major cancers, heart attacks, kidney failures and strokes.

Coverage for these illnesses can begin at the age of six months up to 70 years and has a sum covered of up to BND500,000.

The Critical Illness Protection Plan is also available as an additional coverage to TBK’s Aman Takaful, an income protection plan to ease dependents from financial burden due to death or permanent total disablement.

A feature of the Critical Illness and Aman Takaful is the monthly payment option, also available via standing instruction (SI).

A baby at the age of one can be covered up to the age of 70 for only under BND30 a month. Or an adult in their 30s covered until the same age for under BND50 monthly.
