BIBD recently participated in the 15th Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Hari Raya Aidilfitri celebrations at the International Convention Centre (ICC) in Berakas themed Developing the National Economy by Empowering the Private Sector, a press release stated.

Commenting on BIBD’s participation, BIBD Deputy Managing Director Hajah Noraini binti Haji Sulaiman said, “BIBD strongly believes the foundation of our country’s future relies significantly on the quality and efficiency of its people. Alhamdulillah, today’s celebration highlights national collaboration and efforts to strengthen the private sector and its capability to provide and develop opportunities for Brunei’s human capital to become a resilient national work force that is measured by international standards.

“Similarly, with our vision to become a benchmark institution, BIBD supports the national initiatives of developing Brunei’s human capital with strategies to become the employer of choice with the best workforce in Brunei Darussalam thriving in the best working environment available. Insya Allah, by developing, training, and constantly motivating our employees to strive towards excellence, we ensure that our local talents contribute to the fulfilment of Brunei Darussalam’s strategic objectives in alignment with Brunei Vision 2035.”

With 98 per cent of its positions being occupied by Bruneian citizens, BIBD continually reviews and improves its activities of recruitment and selection, learning and development, manpower planning, performance management, compensation and benefits, succession planning and staff engagements to respond to the present and future needs of the business.
