Successful Issuance of Brunei Darussalam Government Sukuk Al-Ijarah 219th Series

Bandar Seri Begawan, Brunei Darussalam (June 2023) - Brunei Darussalam Central Bank (BDCB), agent to the Government of His Majesty The Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam in managing and administering Sukuk Al-Ijarah issuances, is pleased to announce the successful pricing of its 219th issuance of Sukuk Al-Ijarah securities. The total of the ​​​sukuk issuance was BND50 million with the following details:​ Series: 219 Issuance Date: 08 June 2023 Maturity Date: 06 June 2024 Tenor: 364 Days Rental Rate: 3.3125% With this issuance, the Brunei Government has thus far issued BND16.20 billion worth of Sukuk Al-Ijarah securities since the maiden offering on 6th April 2006, and the total holdings of the Brunei Government Sukuk outstanding as at 8th June 2023 stood at BND320.5 million.​​
