Successful Issuances of Brunei Darussalam Government Short-Term Sukuk Al-Ijarah Securities 185th Series

Bandar Seri Begawan, Brunei Darussalam (September 2020) - The Autoriti Monetari Brunei Darussalam (AMBD), agent to the Government of His Majesty The Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam in managing and administering Sukuk Al-Ijarah issuances, is pleased to announce the successful pricing of its 185th issuance of Sukuk Al-Ijarah securities. The total of the sukuk issuance was BND 50 million with the following details: Series: 185 Issuance date: 3 September 2020 Maturity date: 2 September 2021 Tenor: 364 days Rental rate: 0.2500% With this issuance, the Brunei Government has thus far issued over BND14.02 billion worth of short-term Sukuk Al-Ijarah securities since the maiden offering on 6th April 2006, and the total holdings of the Brunei Government Sukuk outstanding as at 3rd September 2020 stood at BND 373.5 million.
