IITGT sheds light on insurance benefits for students

Insurans Islam TAIB General Takaful Sdn Bhd (IITGT) conducted awareness talks on the importance of participating in its Student Takaful at five schools across Brunei yesterday.
According to a press statement, IITGT teams visited Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Saleha (RIPAS) Secondary School in the Tutong District, and four schools in the Brunei-Muara District – Rimba II Secondary School, Sultan Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien College, Pengiran Anak Puteri Hajah Masna Secondary School and Berakas Secondary School.
During the talk, the speakers presented on how Student Takaful can benefit its participants as it is comprehensive, affordable for any budget, and is specially designed to provide takaful coverage and benefits to students.
The scheme provides benefits such as death and total permanent disability as a result of accident, funeral compensation, daily ward allowances due to accident and is also designed to cover for medical and surgical expenses as a result of accident or injuries.
It also provides education allowance if either one of the covered person’s parents or legal guardian suffers accidental death or loss of limb and loss or damage of textbooks if the participant suffers loss or damage to textbooks due to road accident or house fire.
With an annual takaful contribution of as low as BND5, students will benefit from a comprehensive takaful coverage and be assured that in case of any undesirable event, they will be taken care of by IITGT.
