Bank Islam Brunei Darussalam’s (BIBD) new digital branch, BIBD NEXGEN, its new digital banking concept, is now open to the public at The Mall, Gadong.
A familiarisation session was held yesterday where members of the media and invited guests were guided through the new facility and technologies including VR tour to Perdana Privilege Banking Lounge in Kiulap as well as to both Riverside Apartments in Gadong and Muara Apartments, where users can virtually tour the facilities as well as play around with the decor.
A walk-through demonstration was also held during the session, demonstrated by BIBD Head of Digital Banking David Ng, including interactive digital information boards, catering to the technological-savvy customers. Guests were also given a chance to interact with the active and adorable, first BIBD NEXGEN ambassador, Arif the robot.
Also during the familiarisation session were the demonstration of the newly updated BIBD’s popular NEXGEN Mobile application, which includes Biometric and facial log-in; instant remittance services to 18 countries including ASEAN member countries; eCredit; and Direct Push Messaging to replace SMS service for better interactivity.
Harnessing the latest innovations in artificial intelligence, virtual reality, machine learning, data analytics and customer insights, the digital banking concept symbolises BIBD’s position as a pioneer in the digital space to bring more convenience and connectivity to its customers.
