Successful Issuances of Brunei Darussalam Government Short-Term Sukuk Al-Ijarah Securities 137th Series

Bandar Seri Begawan, Brunei Darussalam (October 2016) - The Autoriti Monetari Brunei Darussalam (AMBD), agent to the Government of His Majesty The Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam in managing and administering Sukuk Al-Ijarah issuances, is pleased to​​​ announce the successful pricing of its 137th issuance of short-term Sukuk Al-Ijarah securities. The total of the sukuk issuance was B$ 38.2 million with following details: Series: 137 Issuance Date: 13 October 2016 Maturity Date: 12 October 2017 Tenor: 364 days Rental Rate: 1.1250% With this issuance, the Brunei Government has thus issued over B$10.2232 billion worth of short-term Sukuk Al-Ijarah securities since the maiden offering on 6th April 2006 and the total holdings of the Brunei Government Sukuk outstanding until 13 October 2016 stood at BND 468.2 million.​​​
