Insurans Islam TAIB marks 25 years with Khatam Al-Quran

Insurans Islam TAIB Holdings Sdn Bhd (IITH), a subsidiary of Perbadanan Tabung Amanah Islam Brunei (TAIB), held a Khatam Al-Quran ceremony and Doa Kesyukuran, in celebration of its 25th anniversary.
The religious event was held alongside mass Maghrib and Isyak prayers yesterday, at the Jame’ ‘Asr Hassanil Bolkiah in Kampong Kiarong.
The guest of honour was Pehin Udana Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Haji Awang Badaruddin bin Pengarah Dato Paduka Haji Awang Othman, the Minister of Religious Affairs, in his capacity as the Advisor to Perbadanan TAIB Board of Directors.
Also present were Pehin Datu Lailaraja Major General (Rtd) Dato Paduka Seri Haji Awang Halbi bin Haji Mohd Yussof, the Minister of Defence II and the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Perbadanan TAIB; Pehin Orang Kaya Paduka Seri Utama Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Haji Awang Salim bin Haji Besar, the Chief Syari’e Judge and Chairman of the Syariah Advisory Committee to Perbadanan TAIB; members of the Board of Directors; the Syariah Advisory committee members; and the management and staff of IITH.
On arrival, the guest of honour was welcomed by Haji Osman bin Haji Mohd Jair, the Managing Director of IITH.
The ceremony commenced with the recitation of selected verses from Al-Quran, to mark the conclusion of the 25 times Khatam Al-Quran by the IITH staff and management.
A Waqaf was then handed over by the Minister of Defence II to the Imam of the Jame’ ‘Asr Hassanil Bolkiah, in the form of Surah Yaasiin booklets and women’s prayer veils.
The event continued with congregational Maghrib and Sunnat Hajat prayers led by Imam Abdul Aziz bin Haji Abdullah, a Mosque Affairs Officer at the Jame’ ‘Asr Hassanil Bolkiah.
This was followed by recitation of the Surah Yaasiin, Doa Tahlil and Doa Kesyukuran prior to the congregational Isyak prayer.
